Engineering Manufacturing Liaison III - #3823<br> This position
will sup****t engineering and manufacturing areas by serving as a
liaison to expedite the design and development process for GA-EMS
Division. The position requires calling vendors and
subcontractors to ensure delivery dates and to aid in working
parts and purchase requisitions through the system. The position
is also responsible for ensureing delivery dates by telephone and
personal visits to all critical subcontractors and vendors,
expediting the design and development process by making periodic
rounds between various departments such as manufacturing shops,
quality assurance, sales, MRB cribs, planning, purchasing,
manufacturing engineering and electrical engineering. Other
responsibilities include coordinating engineering priority for
manufacturing issues and ensuring schedule parity, routeing and
tracking Request for Engineering Assistance from purchasing to
engineering for disposition and ensuring rapid disposition of
engineering holds and lift orders. The position will also process
and track all Engineering Change Request (ECR) activities to
include maintaining log of all ECRs received, pending and
completed; routing ECRs through approval cycle; and coordinating
schedule and priority for ECR implementation between engineering
and manufacturing, resolving priority schedule conflicts among
engineering departments due to shop capacity limitations and
resolving shop capacity issues with manufacturing and planning.
The tasks will also include tracking open engineering issues
affecting sales orders and alert planning department to open
engineering issues that may affect manufacturing and engineering
departments to sales order activity which may affect outstanding

Bachelor's degree plus five years and/or master's degree with
three years experience with emphasis in planning, coordinating,
and scheduling production operations. May substitute equivalent
experience in the field for the formal education. Must be able to
travel and have knowledge of computer operations and applications
pertinent to the position. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills required as well as interpersonal skills and
the ability to perform independent analysis and judgment in
handling issues between the different departments and tact and
diplomacy in resolving problems.
