FABRICATOR I

BC611-3828<br> With the assistance of experienced Fabricators,
performs basic fabrication of minor metal parts utilizing
required tools, fixtures, and operation of necessary machines,
while meeting drawing, and blueprint requirements. Helps to keep
shop organized, and presentable at all times, performing basic
janitorial duties. Under general supervision with some detailed
instructions and intermittent review: Operates brakes, shears,
notchers and presses after setup by qualified Fabricator.
Operates Prototrak mill after setup by qualified fabricator.
Utilizes blue prints, sketches, drawings, verbal descriptions and
sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished
parts. Uses precision measuring tools to insure parts meet
desired tolerances. Deburrs and hand finishes parts and
assemblies. Assembles parts per drawing specifications, and
instructions, by drilling, countersinking, reaming, riveting,
installation of PEM nuts and nut plates, helicoils, gaskets, and
sealing. Sets up Water Jet machine by loading material, loading
programs, cutting material, and unloading completed jobs.
Programs, and operates Laser engraver to identify, and add
reference data to parts. Operates manual mills, lathes, drill
presses and grinding equipment to perform basic fabrication
operations. Uses computer to perform data entry and track jobs
using the WDS, and ASI forms system. Interacts with stockroom to
kit jobs, acquiring necessary hardware and materials used in the
manufacture of product. Performs janitorial duties such as
sweeping, moping, cleaning of machines, and straightening of work
areas. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other
applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is
conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe
manner in accordance with established operating procedures and
practices.

Minimum Qualifications:<br> High school diploma, technical trade
school training, or equivalent. Able to learn, and perform a
variety of semi-routine tasks using basic fabrication skills.
Must be computer literate, and capable of basic fabrication
duties. Possesses good interpersonal skills, verbal and written
communication skills, to interface effectively with other
employees to seek clarification when appropriate on routine
assignments. <br>
