Mechanical Engineer VI - # 3976<br> This position is for a lead
mechanical hardware design engineer. The successful candidate is
expected to provide technical leader****p to a team of engineers,
designers, and technicians in sup****t of a major Photonics laser
project. Candidates must have a thorough<br> understanding and
demonstrated capabilities in fluid system design, fluid flow
analysis, heat transfer analysis, and mechanical hardware design
and fabrication techniques. Although not required, experience in
opto-mechanical systems is desired. Successful candidates will
provide “hands-on” sup****t to the project using Solidworks CAD
Software and Cosmos software for fluids and heat transfer
analyses. The successful candidate is expected to apply knowledge
and experience to lead the mechanical aspects of the project to
completion on budget and on schedule. In addition, the successful
candidate is expected to: Determine technical objectives and
develop innovative, practical solutions to advanced technical
engineering problems. Address complex and difficult technical
issues requiring highly creative approaches, drawing on advanced
engineering concepts. Function in a leader****p role for the
project, and provide technical direction and guidance to less
experienced professional staff or team of professional staff.
Formulate plans and guide the development and implementation of
engineering solution(s) including design, procurement, assembly
and testing, deployment including integration, resource
requirements, do***entation, compliance and safety. Plan and
coordinate the maintenance of engineering solutions including,
do***entation, re****ting, publi****ng, and making technical and
other presentations to ensure viability of the solution(s) in an
evolving environment. Represent the organization as the prime
technical/project contact for the assigned project. Plan for
future applications of solutions based on new developments in
engineering technology. Participate in the development of
expansion of existing business op****tunities. Responsible for
observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations
wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the
Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with
established operating procedures and practices.<br> Great

Minimum of a Bachelors degree and ten or more years of
experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of
education as follows: eight or more years experience with a
Masters degree. Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical
expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts,
theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan,
schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established
deadlines or milestones with some experience in project
leader****p. In addition, must have demonstrated experience in
fluid systems and fluid flow analysis, heat transfer, hardware
design and fabrication, and technical leader****p experience.
Candidates must have significant experience with Solidworks and
Cosmos software. Must posses: (1) the ability to understand new
concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving
