JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer II

DESCRIPTION:
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the validation,lean manufacturing,design,
procurement, installation, qualification and implementation of new or
revised
manufacturing equipment and process. This includes responsibility for the
redesign of existing components to improve quality, project scheduling,
developing and improving manufacturing procedures, and complying with GMP
practices.
Teamwork is exemplified here, with representatives from different
departments
coming together to work on project-oriented task forces and fun-oriented
committees.
One such committee is the Events Committee, whose main goal is to ensure
that
all employee appreciation events are a success. To recognize the hard work
and
dedication of the employees, the company hosts a monthly appreciation
event.
These events can run the gamut from full-blown catered parties to pizza
parties
and ice cream socials. It’s a time for us all to relax and enjoy each
others’
company.

WORK PERFORMED:
1. Develop and implement manufacturing equipment and processes to sup****t
production of new and existing medical device products.
2. Complete all do***entation required to implement new equipment and
processes.
3. Evaluate all manufacturing equipment for proper maintain ace,
adjustment,
and operation.
4. Revise existing manufacturing equipment and processes to comply with
QSR and
ISO regulations.
5. Initiate all equipment validation and re-validation protocols and test
re****ts.

All employees are expected to perform their duties within their ability as
required by the job or as requested by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent Educational Level: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Job Training and Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in an Engineering
position preferably within a high tech manufacturing operation.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
1. Strong aptitude for mechanical design.
2. Strong written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
4. Basic computer skills.
5. Basic statistical analysis skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Sitting is required approximately 75% of the ****ft. The remaining 25%
of the
time is accomplished in a standing/walking position.
2. Reaching, normally at shoulder level or just below, is required for
approximately 50% of the time. Occasional over the head reaching may be
required.
3. Twisting the body at the waist is required approximately 40% of the
time,
particularly when seated, to answer questions, reach for the telephone or
similar operations.
4. Lifting and carrying is normally limited to items less than 10 pounds
for a
distance of up to 10 feet. If travel is a job requirement, expected
lifting and
carrying could be up to 40 pounds for a distance of 40-50 feet.
5. Simple and firm grasping is an ongoing requirement. No delicate
manipulation
is expected.
