JOB TITLE: Manager of Continuing Education
LOCATION: San Diego, US-CA
JOB TYPE: Direct
SALARY   : $70000 - $85000


DESCRIPTION: 
Teamwork is exemplified here, with representatives from different
departments
coming together to work on project-oriented task forces and fun-oriented
committees. 
One such committee is the Events Committee, whose main goal is to ensure
that
all employee appreciation events are a success. To recognize the hard work
and
dedication of the employees, the company hosts a monthly appreciation
event.
These events can run the gamut from full-blown catered parties to pizza
parties
and ice cream socials. It’s a time for us all to relax and enjoy each
others’
company.
Events like these lead to friend****ps that extend outside the office. It’s
common to see a group head out at lunch to surf or run, go to the gym, or
just
do some shopping. When asked about what they enjoy most about working at
the
company, the majority of employees will say "the people."

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the development, implementation,
administration, and management of all global continuing education training
and
customer relations programs, including independent and university
co-sponsored
courses, specific international events to sup****t quality education on 
product
lines and key advisor functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS/BA in business, marketing, or communications,

equivalent and five years of prior Dental marketing experience. Medical
and
product management experience,sales experience helpful. Excellent
organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with
MS
Office applications, and graphics software. 


Direct Supervision: 2 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Design and develop a comprehensive curriculum of global continuing
education
programs and teaching methods to sup****t the company’s sales objectives.
2. Direct, plan, and manage the administration, promotion, and
implementation
of all global clinician-training programs. Includes negotiation of
contractual
agreements with co-sponsors.
3. Manage department operating expense budget (domestic only).
4. Develop and monitor return on investment for each course, includes:
revenue
vs. expenses, sales growth, course evaluations, etc. Determine future
courses
and speakers based upon results. Prepare re****ts quarterly.
5. Develop and oversee systems to ensure consistent sup****t and completion
of
all pre- and post-course action items (accreditations, speaker contacts,
and
agreement letters).
6. Develop, design, and print biannual CE calendar.
7. Research competitive CE from  companies, includes attending competitive
lectures, curricula and marketing analysis.
8. Travel to supervise off-site training programs, meet with clinicians,
and
attend trade shows, as required.
9. Research new technology to “wow” customers with marketing programs and
curricula.
10. Work with clinical advisors, product management, sales management, and
nationally recognized clinicians to establish and develop relation****ps
with a
network of speakers for continuing education purposes.
11. Identify U.S. clinical champions to represent at sponsored courses on
new
product lines.
12. Provide products with sup****ting slides to all speakers.
13. Work with Field Force to target key universities, develop relations
and CE
courses.
14. Create comprehensive sup****t materials for developing university
sales,
educational op****tunities, etc.

All employees are expected to perform their duties within their ability as
required by the job or requested by management.

Other: Overnight travel is occasionally required.
