<p><b>JOB SUMMARY: </b>
<p>Re****ting to the Director of Applications, the Clinical Systems Project
Manager is responsible for coordinating Information Systems Department
projects
related to Nursing / Clinical Informatics with management, users, staff
and
vendors. Will be responsible for systems implementation; coordinating
efforts
of users, staff and vendors; performing analytical research and re****ting;
and
coordinating information management, including special projects as
assigned.
Will formulate system scope and design objectives through research and
fact
finding to configure vendor maintained systems or develop and modify
in-house
systems. Will work closely with nursing staff and physicians to analyze
workflow and needs, and to implement and maintain all patient care related
modules.
<p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</b>
<ul><li>EDUCATION: BS in Nursing required. Masters degree in Nursing
and/or
Certification in Clinical Informatics is preferred.</li>
<li>BACKGROUND: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital setting
including at least 3 years of Nursing background.</li>
<li>REQUIRED: 3+ years of implementation or application sup****t
experience
with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Clinical applications, such
as:
Nursing, Order Management, CPOE, and all related Patient Care
applications.
Meditech HIS experience is a definite plus.</li>
<li>REQUIRED: Superior project management skills. Extensive experience
and
thorough understanding of the process involved in managing large-scale
system
implementation projects. PMP Certification is a definite plus.</li>
<li>REQUIRED: Strong analytical skills for workflow analysis,
requirements
definition, and effective organization of responsibilities.</li>
<li>REQUIRED: Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as
interpersonal skills with all levels of clinical staff including nurses
and
physicians.</i>
<li>PREFERRED: Experience with Meditech HIS.</li>
<li>PREFERRED: Formal project management training, especially PMP
Certification from PMI.</li>
<li>PREFERRED: Certification in Clinical Informatics.</li>
