Engineer IV, Power- #3652<br> General Atomics Electromagnetic
Systems Division (EMS) is seeking a skilled Power Engineer to
join the engineering team. The position is responsible for
conducting and/or leading the development and design of power
electronic, power conversion and power distribution systems for
advanced EM Launchers including railguns, coil-guns and other
electromagnetic launcher technologies. In***bent will conduct
detailed electrical, power flow, power quality, electromagnetic
and thermal analyses and provide the development of conceptual,
preliminary and detailed designs of power and power conversion
systems; may also conduct and or lead the characterization of
power electronic devices and systems and develop effective and
efficient strategies and plans for the execution of development
and design activities; produce or direct the production of
engineering do***entation including, requirements,
specifications, trade study analyses and re****ts, BOM's and
engineering drawings; provide written do***entation of technical
activities and conduct briefings on technical activities both to
customers and senior management. Progress status and updates to
management both in written and oral form is also required.<br>

BS, MS or PhD in Engineering or related technical field and
progressively complex engineering experience such as nine or more
years experience with a Bachelors degree, seven or more years
