~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
KS611-3733<br> Work in the El Mirage or Gray Butte Engine Shop,
on all production and prototype engines: Rotax 914 Turbo, 912
4-Stroke 582, 2-Stroke and Yanmar Diesels. Train and oversee the
work of other Engine Shop Technicians. Independently
troubleshoot and repair engines whenever necessary. Sup****t all
aircraft at the flight test facility and Airframe and Powerplant
Specialists as needed. Perform or evaluate engine rebuilding,
engine trouble shooting, fault isolation, propeller balancing,
overspeed testing, and running engine test stand. Perform or
oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of prop stand, prop
stand fuel, water and oil systems. Wiring of engine ignition
system. Any and all other jobs that are in the engine shop area
of expertise. This position is located at the El Mirage Flight
Test Facility in Adelanto, CA.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in related field and
three to five years of experience in engine repair and rebuilding
of four-stroke, two-stroke and diesel engines in the aircraft or
automobile industry. Additional experience may be substituted
for the formal education. Strong skills in leader****p,
organization, staffing, planning, controlling and delegation.
Effective interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with
employees and both military and civilian customers. Knowledge of
computer applications and operations pertinent to the field.
<br> <br> Desirable Qualifications: Familiar with aircraft
engines, turbo charged engines and some diesel experience.
Willing to work long hours and weekends. Military maintenance
training. Experience in aircraft or automotive research and
development.
