JM611-3369<br> Perform work without appreciable direction to plan
and coordinate the administration of computerized databases,
including relational databases, to ensure accurate, appropriate
and effective use of data, including database definition,
structure, do***entation, long-range requirements, and
operational guidelines. Develop technical solutions to complex
problems. Specific duties include the following; Administer and
manage an Intralink/PDMLink database, coordinating policies and
procedures with administrators in Rancho Bernardo; Manage a
variety of servers including Windows-based machines, IBM AIX 5.2
and Linux; Create and maintain UNIX scripts using K-shell,
C-shell and Perl. Sup****ts CAD modeling (ProEngineer) by
providing appropriate consulting, interfacing and training for
ProE/ProIntralink users; train users in good design practices;
formulate policies and standards for good design practices,
together with Engineering Manager and Leads. Establish and
maintain security and integrity controls; Im****t and ex****t data
between different software programs as required; Perform software
enhancement testing prior to release for production use. Manage
network and servers researching and upgrading systems as needed.
Coordinate with Rancho Bernardo IT Department to ensure policy
and procedure compliance. Research, recommend and Implement
Disaster Recovery Procedures. Review database design and
integration of systems and makes recommendations regarding
enhancements and/or improvements. Supervise IT techs; Interface
with suppliers and vendors. Responsible for observing all laws,
regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and
whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established
operating procedures and practices; other duties as assigned or
required.

Minimum Qualifications: Has completed Bachelor's degree.
Typical minimum related experience of nine to thirteen years (or
MS with seven to eleven years experience). May substitute
equivalent working experience in the field. Must understand and
have knowledge of underlying data and applications. Must possess
the following hardware knowledge: IBM UNIX Server, NT server and
Linux. Experience with ProIntralink and ProEngineer
applications. Experience with other database applications such
as Western Data Systems, SQL, Oracle Web DB, Oracle Forms and
Oracle Re****ts is helpful. Must have the capability to perform
assignments with no direction. Required to utilize independent
judgment related to processing functions and activities. Must
have analytical ability to perform moderately complex
assignments, utilizing considerable judgment in order to resolve
assignments in a creative and e
