Software Developer I - # 3945<br> This software position includes
developing tools to visualize large image and video datasets and
to interact with the data. These applications include interactive
visualization of heterogeneous sensor data (e.g. microwave,
passive optical, and LIDAR). The work will also involve
multi-threaded applications, some image processing and graphical
user interface functions. This position will have a wide variety
of responsibilities including application development, code
performance profiling, GUI design, application/GUI evaluation and
modification in concert with the end-user, user sup****t, and
project web site maintenance. The successful applicant will join
a growing programming group actively developing new projects and
thus must be a person who has initiative and willingness to take
on responsibility for development tasks. <br> Great Additions!

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems or
related area. Experience in C++, object oriented programming,
object oriented design, and code optimization is required.
Experience in software development in the UNIX/ Linux environment
including tools for debugging and experience with HTML is highly
preferred. The ability to communicate (oral & written)
effectively with other members of the Data Analysis Group and the
end user are essential. The position will require the ability to
obtain a security clearance.<br> <br> DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS:<br> Experience in OpenGL, including
texture-mapping, using auxiliary buffers, geometric projections
is strongly desired. Experience with the following: Network
programming, parallel processing, and tiled displays, experience
with software lifecycle development including specification,
design implementation testing, & maintenance and ex
