Sr. Software Test Engineer
Description: Performs complex testing tasks requiring planning,
scheduling, and execution. Manages own assignments and schedule and
serves as a resource for other departments on issues related to the
tester's modules. Provides assistance to less experienced testers with
difficult problems regarding testing approaches, application
knowledge. Senior level in job family, operating under minimal
supervision.
Qualifications: EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: o Work Experience of
typically 4 - 6 years of combined Software QA and Software development
experience, with a distinguished track record on highly technical
projects. o 2+ years of Object Oriented software development in Visual
Studio VB/.Net and Java. o 2+ years of QA testing of distributed
systems. o 2+ years test automation experience, including contributing
to automation framework development. o Expert knowledge of web
application design and testing. o Ability to make wise tradeoffs in
design approach and scope to meet deadlines. o Ability to troubleshoot
complex software / hardware configuration problems. o Strong knowledge
of VB/.Net test applications. o Strong knowledge of GUI/Web Automation
software (e.g. Rational Functional Tester, Rational Robot, SilkTest,
WinRunner); o Ability to develop a clear and concise testing strategy.
o Passionate about finding defects and helping to resolve them. o Must
exhibit good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: o BS Degree in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
