Southern California Company seeks creative Senior Interior Designer
candidates.
Job Title: Senior Interior Designer
Summary
This position is responsible for planning, designing and furni****ng the
interior environments of extremely high-end residential homes. The person
in this role must be knowledgeable in all aspects of residential interior
design and must be very detail oriented. Travel within the United States
and Europe is required.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
· Produce high quality, innovative and appropriate design solutions
· Work with client to determine architectural preferences, purpose and
function of environment, budget, types of construction, equipment to be
installed and other factors which affect planning interior environments
· Integrate findings with knowledge of interior design and formulate
environmental plan to be practical, esthetic and conducive to intended
purposes
· Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout
and utilization of furni****ngs and equipment, color schemes and color
coordination
· Provide renderings, diagrams, schematics, space design drawings and
room treatment illustrations
· Design to the target budget
· Estimate material requirements and cost
· Develop project schedules
· Maintain job timeline
· Actively monitor and re****t progress
· Coordinate with vendors, contractors and in-house facilities groups
· Design, select, and purchase furni****ngs, art works and accessories
· Evaluate products and services and make recommendations concerning new
products being developed and/or improvements in existing products,
specifically involving furniture and related product lines
Education And Experience
* Minimum of 10 years successful and verifiable experience in Interior
Design must have high end residential experience.
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Degree/Certification in Interior Design or related field a plus
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
· Technical knowledge about products and the qualities of materials
· Knowledge of antiques and high-end materials
· Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles
· Understanding of design projects, project budgeting, specifications and
construction do***ents
· Ability and desire to stay abreast of current trends and innovations in
the marketplace
· Project management and coordination skills
· Experience with vendor and subcontractor communication
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple
high-priority projects with a keen attention to detail
· Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities
· Team player orientation
· When given broader direction, demonstrates the ability to be proactive,
decisive, dependable
