C++ Developer, Toronto
Our client, a major financial services company, needs a C++ Developer to
maintain and enhance existing applications, and provide first line
application sup****t to the trading floor. The primary application runs on
the NT platform using C++/.NET/VB with connections to a Sybase and MS SQL
servers. There are also C++ batch processes running on the Unix platform.
This is a permanent position.
Requirements: Excellent English spoken and written. Strong knowledge of
Unix platform using C++/.NET code. Must be comfortable with debugging and
monitoring tools on this platform. Able to use Unix commands to analyze
logs, determine causes of, and find resolutions to problems as they arise.
Extensive knowledge of IPC processes and multi-threading concepts. Strong
database skills using triggers, stored procedures on Sybase, Oracle or MS
SQL server. Strong MS Visual Basic and MS Access skills.
