Telecom Engineer, J0907-0340 Permanent
Location: Ottawa
TRM requires the services of a Telecom Engineer who has the ability to
analyze user requirements and identify telecom solutions based on client
need. Has dealt effectively with end users, vendors, IT and Construction
industry personnel, therefore strong communication skills are a must.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in all aspects of physical layer, cabling and voice/date
network engineering: design, implementation, monitoring and
troubleshooting
- Cabling sup****t and troubleshooting functions including moves, adds,
changes (MAC) and repairs to structured cabling system.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant technical experience
- University degree or graduate of relevant technology program, or
equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Experience writing
do***entation
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Recent experience in current telecommunications cabling standards and
techniques for the Government.
- Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving network problems
specific to cable plant.
- Knowledge of data communication principles and protocols.
- Knowledge of network cabling installation guidelines.
