Job Description
MSC Maplesoft Consulting, Inc., is currently looking to identify a
Data / Information Architect for a contract job op****tunity with one
of our key clients.
The candidate must meet the following minimum requirements;
=95 Review of current data collection processes
=95 Develop Data Standards and Architecture to sup****t the integration
of processes and the creation of the Central Repository
=95 Review cor****ate architecture strategies and directions, data
requirements, and business information needs and devise data
structures to sup****t them
=95 Analyze existing and proposed database systems to identify common
elements that relate to the Central Repository and program specific
elements. Make recommendations within the proposed architecture to
allow for the use of both by clients/users of the Repository
=95 Review and analyze existing data models and make recommendations to
improve modeling efficiency and on the structure of the Central
Repository
=95 Participate in the development of data modeling and metadata
policies and procedures related to the creation of the Central
Repository data model
=95 Analyze and evaluate alternative data architecture solutions to meet
business problems/requirements to be incor****ated into the cor****ate
data architecture
=95 Review the business process mapping from the context of the touch-
points of the Central Repository and make recommendations regarding
the integration of the Central Repository into those process maps
=95 Provide assistance, advice, and guidance to the project team and
business users relating to data issues and data analysis concepts
=95 Knowledge of Government of Canada IM/IT policies and practices
=95 Experience working with Oracle or other DBMS
=95 Experience in designing high performance database systems and
architectures
=95 Experience in the design and specification of hardware systems to
sup****t the proposed data architecture.
