We are seeking a Sr/Lead RFIC Designer for our Toronto based client
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Spec, architect and design RF IC blocks
- Lead projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or better in EE
- 8+ years of RFIC industry design experience
- Expertise in having designed RF blocks for LNAs, Mixers, Polyphase
Filters, VCO's and any other high-speed blocks
- Experience having done circuit design and simulation, layout and test
- Understand, identify, and quantify non-idealities in circuit and
physical design
- Understanding of advanced CMOS processes and modeling issues
- Significant experience with the Cadence design tool suite including:
Spectre/SpectreRF as well as verification tools such as Calibre and Assura
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to guide/mentor and lead others in a small, collaborative team
- Ability to organize work and deliver to schedule
DESIRABLE:
- MS or PhD in EE
- Experience having worked on/exposure to Analog/Mixed Signal circuits
(ADCs and DACs)
- Familiar with design automation techniques, mixed-signal simulation
tools, OCEAN and SKILL scripting is considered a plus
- Familiar or experienced with BiCMOS
- Experience designing for low power specifications
- System Design experience
- Experience with ADS
- PLL exposure
- Previous experience leading projects and/or other team members
