Position: Technical Business Analyst - Infrastructure

Working in a large technology group for a leading financial service
group you will work closely with various IT groups to facilitate their
infrastructure projects =96 that may include:
- Windows Server Migration
- Oracle Upgrade
- AIX upgrade
- Web application sever upgrade
- Creation of testbed for use by projects during their QA and UAT
lifecycles
- Implementation of a Job Scheduler to execute and monitor jobs
running in the production environment
- Tightening of access controls on our National Billing System
Your business analysis project experience will be on the
infrastructure side of IT, not web applications =96 there is a separate
team of BA=92s responsible for this.
Responsiblities
Perform business system analysis
Define functional and non-functional requirements by facilitating JAD
sessions
Define Use Cases
Develop functional and systems specification
Develop and maintain systems do***entation
Review test cases and results
Review QA test cases and scenario
Generate work estimate for work package assigned
Must Haves:
- Good working knowledge of Infrastructure analysis such as Oracle
upgrades, server upgrades, Web application server upgrades, SFTP
setups, Unix Scripting, Microsoft desktop environment, Technology
environment security
- Strong experience in business systems analysis and the development
of functional and systems specifications
- An appreciation of end-user needs and requirements with ability to
see the big picture.
- Customer / business facing experience is a must.
- Knowledge and experience in UML process and other requirements
modelling methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in defining and do***enting detailed
business requirement using practices such as JAD and Use Cases.
- Knowledge in identifying data/information requirements, developing
logical and physical models and defining data dictionaries.
