including terminals, systems and applications.
Precision Recruiting is currently and exclusively engaged with this
company to attract an Interoperability Engineer for the team in the
Toronto, Ontario office.
What you will do:
An Interoperability Engineer is required to carry out interoperability
testing for the family of VoIP terminals and gateways. The successful
candidate will work autonomously, with minimal supervision, to test
and complete interoperability test plans and those of third parties,
in a timely manner, as part of the product release plan. Where
required, you will author test strategies, detailed test plans and
develop automated test scripts to ensure systematic test execution.
You are also expected to troubleshoot and analyze protocol and network
layer issues, as they are encountered, and work with either the design
team or the third party to have them resolved.
Do***entation for team members and management is also a function of
this role, and all relevant results are published as white papers and
FAQs for general distribution. In addition to the in-house testing,
you will be required to sup****t interoperability issues that are
re****ted from the field having been escalated through our Tier 2 and
Tier 3 sup****t teams. This will require direct interface with
customers and third party partners. Some travel may be required for
onsite management of technical relation****p with strategic customers
and third party partners.
What is needed to succeed:
=95 Bachelor=92s degree in Electrical, Computer or System Design
Engineering or equivalent
=95 Minimum 3 years experience in VoIP telephony
=95 Experience using IP logging tools and troubleshooting SIP protocol
message flows
=95 Strong understanding of IP networking and associated protocols such
as DHCP, TFTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, XML, TLS, SRTP, and authentication
protocols and procedures
=95 Experience with networking infrastructure such as routers, Ethernet
switches, hubs, firewalls and session border controllers
=95 Experience with various IP Call Servers from companies such as
BroadSoft, Sylantro, Nortel, MetaSwitch and Digium/Asterisk
=95 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the
ability to interact with and manage customer and third party
relation****ps
=95 Ability to engage customers, understand their technical
interoperability requirements, explore and propose technical options
and deliver compliant solutions in an expedited timeframe
=95 Strong organizational and technical presentation skills
=95 Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic
environment
