in microprocessors with ATI's strengths in graphics, chipsets, and
consumer electronics. The new AMD is a processing powerhouse that will
reinvent our industry through a smarter strategy that empowers growth,
innovation, and choice.
ATI Business Units are now called: AMD Graphics and Media Processors
(formerly ATI)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Design, analysis, do***entation & testing of complex mechanical parts
& assemblies.
-Analysis of critical areas of the design including thermal analysis,
thermo-fluid measurement, dimensional & structural analysis.
-Conduct tests to evaluate & verify product robustness.
-Interface with suppliers & cross-functional teams.
-Ensure product meets marketing requirements, quality & cost goals,
product specs & achieves world-class standards of reliability,
manufacturability & serviceability.
-As a minimum a BSME degree.
-Experience in product Thermo-Mechanical design & development
including electronic packaging.
-Working knowledge of Icepak or Flotherm applications.
-Working knowledge of high volume manufacturing processes including
sheet assembly & plastic part design, tooling, heat sink design &
molding.
-Working knowledge of ProEngineer & mechanical stress analysis using
Ansys.
-Experience in DFM & DFA with strong understanding of tolerance
analysis methods.
-Strong Background in Thermo-Fluid and Thermal
