Primary Responsibilities:
The performance engineer will work with the service development team
to understand the performance requirements of the service. They will
use the testing toolset (Silk Performer) to create and execute test
scripts to measure system performance against these requirements. They
will work closely with existing development teams to identify,
diagnose, re****t on and resolve performance problems.
Qualifications:
=95 Ability to understand, design and implement functional and
performance tests on a web service
=B7 Experience in the area of J2EE performance and scalability
=95 Solid J2EE experience and knowledge of how high level J2EE concepts
can impact performance,
=95 Experience working in large scale JBoss environments
=95 The ability to dig into an application, identify, understand and
resolve the performance issues (alone or in conjunction with
developers)
=B7 Experience with Silk Performer
=B7 Programming experience in Java a plus
=B7 Experience with JBoss, J2EE, Oracle, Linux, EJB all a plus
=B7 Excellent communication skills
=95 Resource usage monitoring for physical servers, application servers,
and databases.
=95 Performance monitoring and integrated operational processes.
=95 Performance test planning, setup, and execution
=95 Performance test scripting and test data management
=95 Capacity estimating, modeling, or planning
