Scope of work/responsibilities:
We are seeking an Informatica Consultant to join our client's DW Project
Team. The project size and scope will vary depending on the nature of the
project at hand. As a consultant, candidate will have a solid
understanding
of Informatica and data warehousing concepts, and have developed numerous
data warehouses using Informatica ETL. Candidate will: 1) understand user
data requirements, analyze source data and design data models to sup****t
analytic re****ting; 2) perform logical and physical database design
through
data modeling techniques (ORM, ER). Design and development of Unified Data
Model - a central data structure backbone for enterprise re****ting (note:
designs must be flexible enough to adapt to changing business
requirements);
3) perform ETL design, development and sup****t for moving transactional
data
from various ERP systems (Oracle Apps, PeopleSoft, etc.) into enterprise
Operational Data Store; and provide functional and technical do***entation
of designs, processes, procedures and technologies used.
Candidate will have experience in application and data modeling, data
warehouse development and modeling techniques as well as strong experience
and detailed understanding of data warehouse design and implementation
issues for both logical and physical schema design. Individual will have
demonstrated expertise in ETL design and development using Informatica
PowerCenter; experience deploying ETL function in medium to large-scale
Oracle RDBMS running in UNIX environment (Solaris, AIX, HPUX, etc.); and
an
understanding of delta capture, load management and error handling
function
for ETL.
