Position: Project Coordinator (Capital/Asset & Maintenance Projects)

Scope of work/responsibilities:
Candidate will be involved in capital works and maintenance projects and
be
responsible for: 1) preparing cost estimates and submissions for program
and
contract approval & preparing plans and specifications for tender call;
reviewing and evaluating bids; and participating in the selection of
consultants and general contractors and 2) inspecting and recording
construction activities and progress. This will include preparing/checking
progress claims as well as recommendations for approval of change orders
and
contract extensions. Subsequently, candidate be approve on-site
construction
changes and liaise with, instruct, and approve all phases of consulting &
contracted services work. As part of our client's Engineering &
Maintenance
team, individual will also conduct scheduled and ad hoc asset management
inspections and *****sments, re****t on inspection / *****sment results and
recommend appropriate follow-up action.
Required skills/qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have 3+ years of
project
administration and/asset management experience, ideally from a maintenance
perspective. Individual must be a member (or eligible for member****p) as
an
Applied Science Technologist in the Applied Science Technologists and
Technicians of BC or equivalent. Strong organizational and communications
skills combined with computer literacy are required (i.e. proficiency with
AutoCAD Map, MS Office, etc.). Must have the ability to manage workload
and
conflicting timelines, and maintain good working relation****ps with peers
and contractors, and general public.
