Scope of work/responsibilities:
We are seeking a contract Project Manager to assist our client's Data
Warehouse/Decision Sup****t Team on a long term project (12+ months). Our
client's Enterprise Data Warehouse utilizes MS SQL Server 2005 platform
although their core information platform and solution is IBM. For
example,
data resides on both DB2 and MS SQL Server and DataStage is the preferred
ETL and where not possible MS Analysis Services/T-SQL may be used.
Required skills/qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must have 3+ years of experience leading and
managing heterogeneous DW/BI projects and proven success
navigating/liaising
between internal clients to problem solve technical issues, identifying
feasible options and obtaining buy-in to implement solutions (i.e.
effectiveness in dealing with both the technical and interpersonal
challenges of Data Warehousing and aligning technical solutions with
business needs). Individual will be knowledgeable about all phases of Data
Warehouse project management including requirements definition, detailed
design and planning, effective implementation practices, integration,
acceptance testing and sign off with project sponsors.
