Position: Programmer/Analyst

Scope of work/responsibilities:
We are seeking a Programmer/Analyst to develop an application to extract
meta-data information from our client's SQL Server database, using that
meta-data to locate pdf files in a local file system, and then transfer
that
meta-data and the extracted files to a remote location. Candidate will
then
develop a small application to reside at the remote location that will
allow
a user to search that meta-data and retrieve and display the pdf file
locally. Candidate will review existing requirements, complete detailed
requirements and design/develop a solution based on the specified
requirements. Individual will design and develop batch processes to
extract
existing data and transfer them over to a remote site, collaborate with IS
staff to design and set up scheduled update job, implement solution at
remote sites, and do***ent designed solution and all relevant processes
and
procedures. Experience developing front end applications with ASP Web page
(front end) is required. Experience developing applications for SQL Server
with metadata manipulation and transformation and/or experience designing
and developing DTS packages is an asset.
