Scope of work/responsibilities:
We are seeking a DW Technical Lead to join our client's Data
Warehouse/Decision Sup****t Team. Candidate will be tasked with managing,
tracking and resolving architectural and technical issues and changes to
the
Data Warehouse. This position will determine the root cause of problems,
formulate and present viable solutions to internal customers and the team
and ensure the issue/change is successfully resolved. Individual will
coordinate and monitor the work activities of a small team of 3 to 5
people.
In addition, candidate will meet and liaise with internal customers and
project teams on a regular basis to communicate status of changes and
cross-project impacts.
Required skills/qualifications:
To be considered, candidate must have 2+ years of experience as technical
lead for an enterprise DW environment and be skilled in interviewing
different levels of internal customers to identify and understand business
drivers and needs. Mandatory: ability to understand and trace technical,
knowledge of key data warehousing technologies and processes, and ability
to
troubleshoot technical problems at a very detailed level. Experience using
data warehouse or analytical tools (BOXI Toolset, ErWin, SQL Server 2005,
Informatica, SSIS, Data Stage, etc.) is ideal.
